Bryan Ferry, most recently seen on Roxy Music's 2001 reunion tour, resumes his solo career with the April 15 U.K. release of his new album "Frantic." The Virgin set features guest appearances by Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and former Roxy members Brian Eno and Paul Thompson, plus two songs co-written by Ferry with Eurythmics' Dave Stewart.

"Frantic" is Ferry's first album containing new songs since 1994's "Mamouna," and comprises 13 songs produced by Rhett Davies, who also oversaw Roxy's "Avalon" set in 1982 and Ferry's "As Time Goes By" covers collection in 1999. The vocalist wrote "Cruel" and "Goddess of Love" with Stewart,
while Greenwood plays on "Hiroshima," inspired by the film "Hiroshima Mon Amour."

Eno and Ferry co-wrote the closing track "I Thought," on which the former Roxy man also supplies keyboards and backing vocals. Thompson, who played on last year's reunion dates, drums on "Fool For Love," "San Simeon," and "Goddess of Love."

Continuing his longtime admiration for the songs of Bob Dylan, Ferry also recorded versions of "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" and "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" for the album. In 1973, at the outset of his solo career, Ferry had his first U.K. hit single with a cover of Dylan's "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall." Other covers on the album include Don Nix's "Goin' Down" and Leadbelly's "Goodnight Irene." Ferry plans to tour behind "Frantic" in June.
