Farm Aid Lineup Grows

The lineup for the 15th annual Farm Aid benefit concert has expanded to include Barenaked Ladies, Travis Tritt, Arlo Guthrie, the North Mississippi All-Stars, Jimmy Sturr, and Shannon Curfman. These artists join previously announced acts and Farm Aid founders Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp. Young will also perform with his bandmates in Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

This year's concert will be held Sept. 17 at the 25,000-capacity Nissan Pavillon in Bristow, Va., outside of Washington, D.C. Country Music Television (CMT) will broadcast Farm Aid live in North America. Tickets go on sale Aug. 4 via TicketMaster.

In conjunction with the event's 15th anniversary, Redline Entertainment is readying a two-CD compilation album featuring tracks from throughout Farm Aid's history. All proceeds from the album, which will hit stores on Sept. 12, will be donated to Farm Aid.

In related news, Barenaked Ladies' new single, "Pinch Me," ships to radio this week. The track precedes the Canadian group's forthcoming Warner Bros. album "Maroon," due Sept. 12. Following Farm Aid, the Ladies will kick off a two-leg North American tour set to run through early December.
