We won't know who's playing in Super Bowl XLV until late Sunday, but we do know Faith Hill and the Pretenders will meet -- in tandem rather than opposition -- as part of a special Super Bowl episode of CMT's Crossroads series.

The two acts will perform live at 10 p.m. ET on Feb. 5 at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, for "CMT Crossroads: The Pretenders & Faith Hill Live From the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam." As per the show's tradition, Hill will perform several songs with the Pretenders while the group's leader Chrissie Hynde will join Hill and her band for another set. The song list is currently being discussed by the two artists.

The show marks the first appearance by both artists on "CMT Crossroads." The Pretenders' lineup for the show will include co-founder Martin Chambers on drums along with current members James Walbourne on guitar, Eric Heywood on pedal steel and Nick Wilkinson on bass. CMT will film the show for repeat broadcasts after the live taping.

The "Crossroads" taping is one of three major concerts leading up to the big game on Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kid Rock, Duran Duran and Jason Derulo perform at the NFL Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam on Feb. 3, while Jenni Rivera, Chino Y Nacho and Dulce Maria are on the bill for the NFL Pepsi Musica Super Bowl Fiesta on Feb. 4.

The Black Eyed Peas will perform at halftime, while Christina Aguilera has been tapped to sing the national anthem.
