Young the Giant issued a quote to Billboard.com: "To be included among such an acclaimed class of performers that have played before us is such an honor.  We love playing acoustic stripped down sets so to be able to showcase it on such a legendary program and on such a storied stage is truly amazing for us."

Beginning Nov. 10, one of Young the Giant¹s performances will go into video rotation on MTV's AMTV, mtvU and MTV Hits.  A 30-minute special will debut on MTV's AMTV, MTV2's AMTV2, and Palladia, MTV Networks' high-definition music channel, at a later date.

Young the Giant saw their biggest spike in album sales the week after the VMAs, moving 10,000 copies of their debut. Having sold 76,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, it peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard 200.
