Taio Cruz debuted at No. 1 on the new U.K. singles chart yesterday (Sunday) with "Dynamite" (4th & Broadway/Universal Island), as Eminem started a fourth separate stint atop the album survey with "Recovery" (Interscope/Universal).

"Dynamite" is Cruz's eighth top 40 single (including a top tenner featuring Ke$ha, "Dirty Picture," in April) and his second No. 1, after last September's "Break Your Heart." It arrived at the top of the new Official Charts Company data as Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie," featuring Rihanna, started a third week at No. 2; Flo Rida's "Club Can't Handle Me" (Atlantic/Warner Music), featuring David Guetta, stayed at No. 3; and last week's bestseller, Roll Deep's "Green Light" (Relentless/Virgin), fell to No. 4.

BRIT school graduate and dubstep artist Katy B started her chart career with a No. 5 debut for "Katy On A Mission" (Rinse Recordings), while Brandon Flowers of the Killers got his first solo hit with "Crossfire" (Vertigo/Universal) at No. 8. There were two further new entries in the top 20, with a debut hit for newcomer vocalist Rumer, "Slow" (Atlantic/Warner Music) at No. 16, and "Saint or Sinner" (Future) by Brazilian-born, south London-based Aggro Santos at No. 19.

Eminem's album is now in its seventh aggregate week at No. 1, his longest-ever U.K. sequence, in a ten-week chart run. Plan B's "The Defamation of Strickland Banks" (679/Atlantic/Warner Music) climbed back 4-2 as last week's champion, Iron Maiden's "The Final Frontier" (EMI), fell to No. 3. "Eliza Doolittle" (Parlophone/EMI) and Lady Gaga's "The Fame" (Interscope/Universal) climbed three places each, to Nos. 5 and 6, while Mumford & Sons' "Sigh No More" (Universal Island) jumped 12-7 in its 47th chart week. Klaxons' sophomore album "Surfing The Void" (Rinse/Polydor/Universal) opened at No. 10 and there was a No. 12 debut for Sony's new "Greatest Hits" set by 1970s chart sensations the Bay City Rollers.

Iron Maiden's album opened at No. 1 on Billboard's current European Albums chart, while on Hot 100 Singles, "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment) by Shakira featuring Freshlyground is in a fifth week at No. 1.
