Eminem leads Billboard's European Albums chart for a second week with "Recovery" (Interscope/Universal), while European Hot 100 Singles has a new champion as "California Gurls," (Virgin/EMI) by Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg, moves 2-1.

The Eminem album scores a second week atop the U.K. chart, matching the performance of last year's "Relapse," after adding 68,000 new sales for a two-week total of 208,000. Elsewhere, it holds at No. 1 in Ireland, Switzerland and Austria, No. 2 in Germany and the Belgian region of Flanders and debuts at No. 6 in Italy. "Recovery" climbs 3-2 in Holland and 10-5 in Sweden, but falls 1-5 in Denmark, 2-3 in Norway and 2-9 in Wallony.

After a No. 2 debut Europe-wide last week, Miley Cyrus holds there with "Can't Be Tamed" (Hollywood/Universal), which adds a No. 4 debut in Italy, holds at No. 1 in Spain and Portugal and No. 2 in Austria, but falls 3-4 in Switzerland, 4-5 in Germany, 5-10 in Ireland, 13-15 in the Czech Republic and 8-19 in the United Kingdom.

Lady Gaga is back up yet again, 5-3, with "The Fame" (Interscope/Universal), now in its 77th week on the European albums chart. The album rises 12-5 in Portugal, 8-6 in Austria, 12-7 in Germany, 9-7 in France, Holland and Denmark and 14-8 in Switzerland.

The top new entry of the European album sales week, at No. 4, is the Scissor Sisters' "Night Work" (Polydor/Universal), which charts in 11 European countries but has only one top ten debut, at No. 2, in the United Kingdom on sales of 46,000.

David Guetta's "One Love" (Virgin/EMI) is up again, 7-5 overall, 8-5 in Wallony, 13-10 in the United Kingdom and 12-10 in Austria. It's steady at No. 4 in Spain and No. 7 in Hungary. The French DJ holds at No. 5 on European Hot 100 Singles with "Gettin' Over You," with Chris Willis and climbs 25-24 with "Memories," featuring Kid Cudi. Kelly Rowland's "Commander" (Universal Island), on which he features, climbs 39-30.

Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies)" (Interscope/Universal) dips 3-6 on the composite chart, and Katie Melua's "The House" (Dramatico) 6-7. "The E.N.D." does however rise 4-3 in Flanders, 16-4 in Ireland and 18-16 in Portugal, and the band's European tour continues with an appearance at Scotland's T In The Park festival tomorrow (July 9).

"The House," meanwhile, is still at No. 1 in Poland, No. 2 in Switzerland and No. 3 in Wallony, and climbs 10-8 in Norway and 22-20 in Portugal.

Unheilig's  "Grosse Freiheit" (Universal) rests at No. 8, fuelled by another week at No. 1 in Germany, and the composite album top ten concludes with two re-entries: Muse's "The Resistance" (Helium 3/Warner Music) is up 13-9, and Alicia Keys' "The Element of Freedom" (J/Sony Music Entertainment) 18-10.

The Muse album benefits from the band's June 26 televised headline slot at the Glastonbury Festival, climbing 62-13 in the United Kingdom on new sales of 10,000, also rising 34-9 in Flanders and 11-9 in Portugal. Keys' album is up 6-3 in the United Kingdom and 15-9 in Ireland.

"California Gurls" thus becomes Perry's third pan-European No. 1 single, following "I Kissed A Girl" in 2008 and "Hot N Cold" early in 2009. Two-week U.K. sales to last weekend were a robust 216,000, for a second week at No.1 there, a feat it repeats in Ireland. The track also rises 5-4 in Germany, 9-5 in Denmark, 7-5 in Italy, 9-6 in Holland and 8-7 in Flanders.

The top newcomer on European Hot 100 Singles, at No. 10, is "Debout Pour Danser" (Airplay) by French group Collectif Métissé, which debuts at No. 2 in France as Jessy Matador's "Allez Ola Ole" (Wagram), the country's 2010 Eurovision Song Contest representative, spends a second week at No. 1.
