As first tipped here in January, Eminem and 50 Cent will embark on a co-headlining tour this summer that will likely be the biggest hip-hop outing of the year. The Anger Management 3 tour will begin July 7 outside Indianapolis and will also feature Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, G-Unit, D-12, Obie Trice and Status Quo. Ludacris will sub for 50 Cent on the first two dates while the latter works on his as-yet-untitled film debut.
The 24-date run will play mostly amphitheaters plus a handful of arenas, including an Aug. 8-9 stand at New York's Madison Square Garden, before wrapping with Aug. 12-13 at Comerica Park in Eminem's hometown of Detroit.
"We've been waiting for the right moment to go on tour, and it all finally came together," Eminem says in a statement. "We wanted to put together the best lineup we could. I'm always trying to top the last tour whenever I go out. I think we're really doing it this time."
Eminem's Shade 45 channel on Sirius Satellite Radio will feature exclusive coverage of the tour in the form of live performances and interviews. This summer will also see the release of a DVD chronicling Eminem's 2002 Anger Management tour with D-12.
