Elliott Documentary To Be Screened At Sundance

A full-length documentary on Ramblin' Jack Elliott will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, which will be held Jan. 21-31 in Park City, Utah. "The Ballad Of Ramblin' Jack" was directed by the veteran folk singer's daughter Aiyana Elliott and produced by Plantain Films and Crawford Entertainment.

The film includes archival footage from field historian Alan Lomax and D.A. Pennebaker, the latter of whom lensed the Bob Dylan documentary "Don't Look Back."

Elliott's most recent set, "The Long Ride" (Hightone), was released in September.
