The is the second edition of ACA World Sound, following a November 2000 show that featured the likes of Moby, Deep Dish, and Banco De Gaia. This year's show will expand upon the format, with the first two days hosting music on five stages on the beach near Barra Vieja. The third night will see the festival move into the city of Acapulco, with after parties at the Palladium and Enigma clubs.
As in 2000, ACA World Sound will raise funds for the Million Wishes Latin America Charity Fund. The previous festival donated $120,000 to build a kindergarten in Acapulco, fund a home for AIDS orphans, and pay for eye surgeries. The 2002 festival plans to raise the same amount of money for Million Wishes.
Tickets are on sale now; prices for one day are 950 pesos ($95.40), for 2 or 3 days, they are 600 pesos ($60.26) per day. For more information, including a full list of performers, please visit the festival's official Web site.
