Dobson Celebrates 'Sunday' On Sophomore CD

Toronto-based singer Fefe Dobson has set a June 20 release date for her sophomore Island/Def Jam set "Sunday Love." Producer Ben Grosse worked on the majority of the album and Matthew Wilder ("Break My Stride") contributed as producer/co-writer.

Dobson co-wrote lead single "This Is My Life" (produced by Howard Benson and Tom Lord-Alge) and two other cuts, along with songwriter Billy Steinberg (Madonna, Cyndi Lauper). The 21-year-old singer also co-wrote two songs with former Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5, who performs on those tracks.

For Dobson, the new offering represents both her artistic and personal evolution but stays true to her funky style. "I see the world in a totally different light and I want to express that," she says. "'Sunday Love' is just about chillin' and relaxing and enjoying every possible aspect of my life right now."

"Sunday Love" will be the follow-up to Dobson's 2004 self-titled debut, which has sold 307,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
