Diddy Relaunches Label With 'Bad Boys II'

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs will reactivate his Bad Boy Records label with the soundtrack to the film "Bad Boys II." Due July 15, the set is led by the Jay-Z single "La-La-La," and will boast cuts by 50 Cent, Nelly, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Will Smith, one of the film's co-stars.

"I pulled out all the stops and it couldn't have happened any other way -- 'Bad Boys II' on Bad Boy," said Combs, the soundtrack's executive producer, in a statement. As previously reported, Bad Boy recently signed a three-year worldwide distribution deal with Universal.

On the album, Diddy teams up with Nelly and Murphy Lee of the St. Lunatics on the tracks "Shake Ya Tail Feather" and "Take It Low," and joins Lenny Kravitz and Neptunes member Pharrell on "Show Me Your Soul."

"Realest N%@$#!" -- a well-known underground collaboration featuring 50 Cent and the late Notorious B.I.G. -- will also be featured on the set. Timberlake contributes "I Love You" to the collection, while Beyonce lends the song "Keep Giving Your Love To Me."

Others who are slated appear on the soundtrack are Bad Boy artists Mario Winans, G. Dep, and Loon, as well as Mary J. Blige, Fat Joe, Foxy Brown, and G-Unit, although at deadline the final track list was still not set in stone. Videos for "La-La-La" and "Shake Ya Tail Feather" are planned.

Reteaming Smith and Martin Lawrence, "Bad Boys II" finds the pair once again playing detectives investigating a drug ring in Miami. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Michael Bay, the film will open July 18 in U.S. theaters.
