Music will run each day from noon to midnight, with all proceeds from the event going to benefit the children's programs hosted by Detroit's Parks And Recreation department. Spearheaded by influential techno artist Carl Craig, who recently returned to his native Detroit after spending some time in London, the festival continues to highlight homegrown talent, including the aforementioned May and up-and-coming hip-hop act Binary Star.
More than 70 artists will play over the weekend. The complete lineup can be found on the festival's official Web site. Last year's event, which featured music on four stages, drew more than 1.5 million people to the city..
