Depeche Mode's Gahan Sets Solo Tour

Depeche Mode frontman David Gahan will play more than a month's worth of solo North American dates in support of his upcoming album "Paper Monsters," due June 3 from Mute/Reprise. As previously reported, Gahan's solo debut is led by the single "Dirty Sticky Floors," which will be released commercially May 26 internationally.

The North American dates, which will follow a 22-date European swing, begin July 18 in Atlanta. Gahan will be backed by guitarist/songwriting collaborator Knox Chandler, former Porno For Pyros/Jane's Addiction bassist Martyn LeNoble, drummer Victor Indrizzo (Beck, Liz Phair), and keyboardist Vincent Jones. He is expected to perform at least a handful of Depeche Mode songs on the tour.

"Paper Monsters" comes on the heels of Depeche Mode guitarist Martin Gore's own solo outing, "Counterfeit2," which was issued April 28 by Mute/Reprise.
