Def Leppard has cancelled the third leg of its North American tour due to unspecified "personal matters", the group said on its website.

The third leg of the tour had been scheduled to open on Oct. 22 and end on Nov. 28 in Beaumont, Texas.

"We know how truly blessed we are to have such committed fans," the band said in a statement.

"That's why we've agonized over this decision. Even if just a single concert, we don't take cancelling shows lightly, but unfortunately life's commitments need to be the priority."

Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase, the band added.
