D'Arby To Perform Again With INXS

Terence Trent D'Arby will again stand in for the late Michael Hutchence when INXS performs at the June 12 opening of the Sydney Stadium in Australia. The American-born R&B singer, best known for his 1988 hit "Wishing Well," will join brothers John, Tim, and Andrew Farriss, Kirk Pengilly, and Garry Beers in what will be INXS' second public performance since Hutchence committed suicide on Nov. 22, 1997. The group's first outing was at the recent anniversary party for its Australian label, Mushroom Records.

"This is an INXS show and Terence is lending us his vocal cords," guitarist Tim Farriss said during a news conference announcing the performance. "It's for one night only at this stage," added guitarist/saxophonist Pengilly. But a source told The Hollywood Reporter that if things go well, there could be further work for D'Arby with the band.
