More than 40 years after "Ohio" took aim at the Kent State shootings, David Crosby and Graham Nash brought their iconic protest songs to the struggles of a new generation on Tuesday.

The duo, half of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, performed an unamplified set in Manhattan's Zuccotti Park in support of the nearly two-month-old Occupy Wall Street movement.

Addressing a cheering crowd, Nash called attention to the group's history: "You know this song, so help us sing it, all right? It's a song I wrote 40 years ago, it's still true today, we have to teach our children a better way," he said before the duo played "Teach Your Children Well."

According to Rolling Stone, the group's set also included "Long Time Gone," "What Are Their Names," "Military Madness" and "They Want It All."

"I think what David and I are hearing are the voice of the people," Nash told Rolling Stone.

Occupy Wall Street: When Music Stars Invade

"Everybody is realizing that they're getting screwed," Crosby added. "People are recognizing the basic truth that the system is loaded against them, and they're looking for equality. It's a simple thing."

The pair were the latest musicians to perform for Occupy Wall Street, joining fellow folk legends Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie and younger artists such as Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum, Tom Morello, Sean Lennon, Rufus Wainwright and Talib Kewli. Stars from the pop world, such as Katy Perry and Kanye West, have also made brief appearances in Zuccotti Park in recent weeks.
