Los Angeles-based modern rock outfit Crazy Town will release its sophomore album, "darkhorse," Nov. 12 via Columbia. The 11-song set is led by the single "Drowning," a video for which was recently shot by Brendan and Emmett Malloy (Foo Fighters, Blink-182). Produced by the band with Howard Benson (P.O.D.), "darkhorse" features a guest guitar appearance by Weezer's Rivers Cuomo on the song "Hurt You So Bad."

The album is the follow-up to 2000's "The Gift of Game" and introduces new drummer Kyle Hollinger and guitarist Craig "Squirrel" Tyler into the Crazy Town lineup. "Seth and I formed Crazy Town, so we did 90% of the work on the first record," vocalist Brett "Epic" Mazur said in a statement. "But after spending three years on the road, we all came together and learned how to be a band. When it came time to record, everyone came to the table with great ideas, resulting in a more focused album with heavier songs and a stronger sense of melody. We really pushed ourselves and you can hear the growth immediately. "

Adds Tyler, "It sounds like the type of records that we grew up listening to that made us wanna be in bands. In 10 years, I wanna be able to listen to this record and be proud of it. And I think we pulled that off."

"The Gift of Game," debuted at No. 198 on The Billboard 200 in December 2000, and peaked at No. 9 on the chart by the following March. The album, which has sold 1.57 million copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan, was fueled by the multi-format success of the single "Butterfly," which topped Billboard's Hot 100 and Modern Rock Tracks charts.
