With all the '90s grunge revivalism going around, it's hard not to ask Courtney Love what she thinks. To no one's surprise, she has quite a bit to say on the topic of her deceased husband, Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain.

Seattle Sounds: A 20th Anniversary Celebration

For a story appearing in the November issue of Vanity Fair, Love is asked if she's angry with Cobain for committing suicide in 1994. Her characteristically uncensored response: "Mad? Ya think?! If he came back right now I'd have to kill him, for what he did to us. I'd fucking kill him. I'd fuck him, and then I'd kill him. He tried to kill himself three times!"

She continues, on the topic of Kurt's drug use: "He OD'd at least five times. I was the fucking E.M.S. I was always sticking pins in his balls. I carried around Narcan! [a drug used to revive heroin users]!"

Nirvana's Krist Novoselic Q&A: 'Nevermind' 20 Years Later

In addition to lamenting Kurt's suicide and her parenting failures (daughter Francis Bean Cobain legally emancipated from Love nearly two years ago, at age 17), Love discusses her rocky financial situation in the Vanity Fair story. Apparently the matter of missing Nirvana money, which she calls "the fraud," pre-dates her husband's death.

"We could never find our money!" she says. "We had $135,000 in our bank account. They said that if he would go do Lollapalooza he would make $11 million… Do you think Kurt would have killed himself if he had known he had $54 million?"
