At a Nov. 12 show in Brazil, a fan holding a sign depicting the late Kurt Cobain inspired a stage-exiting meltdown in Hole frontwoman Courtney Love.

Courtney Love is reportedly facing eviction from her 4-story townhouse in Manhattan's West Village for failing to pay rent and causing a small but damaging fire.

According to TMZ, Love repainted and wallpapered the townhouse without owner Donna Lyon's consent. In addition, a fire in the fourth floor's master bedroom in June allegedly damaged the room's curtains and bed linens.

Lyon also claims that Love, who has rented the $27,000-a-month townhouse for 10 months, owes her $54,000 in rent. A rep for Love did not respond for comment at press time.

The possible eviction would cap off another embattled year for the controversial Hole singer. In March, Love paid approximately $430,000 to settle a lawsuit against her by a fashion designer who claimed the singer defamed her in a series of Twitter posts. Last month, Love bashed the Foo Fighters and stormed offstage after a fan held up a photo of her deceased husband, Kurt Cobain, during a concert in Brazil.
