Counting Crows Extend Summer Tour

Counting Crows have extended their summer tour, originally covering only the West Coast, with 11 new dates. The trek kicks off July 6 in San Diego and will travel as far as North Carolina before closing in San Diego on Sept. 7. The Crows are road-testing material from their forthcoming fourth Geffen/Interscope album, which is being produced by Dennis Herring and Cracker's David Lowery.

Meanwhile, Crows frontman Adam Duritz will be heard guesting on a track from ex-Whiskeytown principal Ryan Adams' next Lost Highway solo album. The album, "Gold," is due in late August or early September.

July 21-22: Lake Tahoe, Nev. (Caesars Tahoe)
Aug. 21: Corpus Christi, Texas (Concrete Street Amphitheater)
Aug. 22: Austin, Texas (Backyard)
Aug. 24: San Marcos, Texas (University Auditorium)
Aug. 25: Huntsville, Texas (Bernard G. Johnson Auditorium)
Aug. 27-28: New Orleans (House of Blues)
Aug. 30: Orlando, Fla. (House of Blues)
Aug. 31: Myrtle Beach, S.C. (House of Blues)
