Coldplay, LMFAO, Jessie J Added As MTV EMA Performers

Coldplay, Jessie J and LMFAO join the list of performers scheduled for the MTV EMAs on Nov. 6.

What do you get when you combine a band of British rock stars, a Barbadian pop princess, and a bunch of squelchy synths that build to a massive crescendo? "Princess of China," the Coldplay- Rihanna collaboration that will appear on the band's "Mylo Xyloto," of course! The track leaked online on Monday (Oct. 17) after it streamed on the iTunes Store, kicking off a week of free streams from the band's forthcoming fifth album.

Essentially, "Princess of China" is the most epic breakup song in recent memory: after Chris Martin warbles, "Once upon a time, we fell apart/You hold it in your hands, like two halves in your heart," the verse is washed away in a sea of sinister synthesizer and pounding "Woh-oh-oh's." Rihanna then arrives and begins mixing her medieval metaphors, singing, "I could've been a princess, you'd be a king/Could've had a castle on a ring."
