Coldplay paid tribute to Amy Winehouse Wednesday, playing a slow rendition of her hit "Rehab" before segueing into their tune "Fix You," which band leader Chris Martin wrote for his wife Gwyneth Paltrow after the death of her father.

The two-song medley was played during the encores of Coldplay's 90-minute sold-out performance at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on the UCLA campus. The concert's purposes were two-fold -- raising money for the Grammy Foundation's Grammy in the Schools music education program and the broadcast of two new songs on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The concert was presented by Samsung and AT&T as part of their multi-city Summer Krush series.

Coldplay delivered their biggest hits -- "Yellow," "Clocks," "Viva La Vida," among the 18 songs performed -- and added five new songs intended for their next studio album. Much of the newer material is driven by the vibrant electric guitar work of Jonny Buckland and steady drum beats more rooted in disco than straight-ahead rock 'n' roll.

Among the new songs were "Major Minus" and "Moving to Mars" and "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall"; timing of the Kimmel broadcast resulted in two songs being performed twice.

Coldplay will next headline Lollapalooza at Chicago's Grant Park on Aug. 5 as it plays several festivals, among them Austin City Limits on Sept. 16 and Atlanta's Midtown Music on Sept. 24.

Other shows include the Band Perry in Dallas on Aug. 8, Bush and Chevelle in Chicago on Aug. 18, Lenny Kravitz in New York Aug. 31, and the Avett Brothers in Atlanta Sept. 9. An event in Seattle is still being planned.
