The time for Coachella 2010 is now. And we're sure all the fans in the world know just why Jay-Z, Muse, Thom Yorke and Gorillaz are playing high-profile big-stage sets. But even if you aren't headed to Indio this weekend to catch the festivities live, there are a ton of other great bands on the bill worth listening to. Check out our picks for 10 less obvious bands playing Coachella worth watching this weekend and beyond.

Sleigh Bells

The buzz on this band couldn't be any louder: from the glowing New Yorker review of one of its first gigs during last year's CMJ festival to the enthusiastic support of M.I.A., Brooklyn's Sleigh bells is off to a running start. "Treats," the group's debut album, is due May 11, and the early arrivals on Coachella first day will get a chance to hear their head-spinning mix of buzz saw guitar and syrupy vocals.
