Festival Con Dios, billed as the first Christian rock touring festival, will begin May 17 in Ft. Myers, Fla., featuring Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, O.C. Supertones, and others. The first leg will run through June 17 in South Bend, Ind.; a second leg will start Sept. 13 in Cleveland and run through the end of the month. Taking a page from other successful package festival tours, the outing will feature interactive exhibits, extreme sports, and other attractions.

The Newsboys' latest album, "Shine: The Hits" (Sparrow), debuted at No. 5 on Billboard's Top Contemporary Christian chart last November. Audio Adrenaline's 1999 set "Underdog" (ForeFront) debuted on top of that chart.

Sponsored by Sparrow Label Group and Forefront Records, the tour is a joint effort between the Newsboys' First Company Management, Chicago-based Jam Productions, Creative Artists Agency, and Brickhouse Entertainment.
