A Chris Brown song entitled "Changed Man" leaked online Thursday night (Aug. 13), setting off speculation over whether it will be the first single on his upcoming album, "Graffiti."

A rep for Brown, however, tells Billboard.com that "Changed Man" is not his comeback single and that the song was "recorded some time ago -- a long time ago, actually." The rep could not say whether the track was recorded after Brown assaulted ex-girlfriend Rihanna, whom he appears to be addressing in the lyrics:

"I'm a changed man, because you mean that much to me," sings Brown on the mid-tempo ballad's chorus. "And I don't want to be done/I'm doing all that I can, and everybody hates Chris/They can never understand."

Brown has been laying low since the February, outside of pleading guilty to assault charges in June and then releasing a video apology via YouTube one month later. He also made a brief appearance at Young Money show in his native Virginia on Aug. 2, joining Lil Wayne's crew onstage for a Michael Jackson tribute.

Meanwhile, several songs recorded by the singer have leaked this summer. "Smash" and "Not My Fault" hit the web in June, and "Don't Know What It Is," a track reportedly produced by Scott Storch, leaked this week in addition to "Changed Man."

The rep had no comment on whether "Don't Know What It Is" will be a single on "Graffiti."

Brown's last official single "Forever," drops from No. 20 to No. 51 on this week's Digital Songs chart, where it had re-emerged thanks to a viral wedding video featuring the song. It notched 28,000 digital downloads, down 45% from the week prior.
