Charice's spokesperson has refuted a report that the singing sensation underwent Botox to "look fresh" for her upcoming role on "Glee." The rep tells UsMagazine that Charice had the procedure done "to relieve a jaw problem similar to TMJ [Temporomandibular joint disorder]."

Charice Gets Botox for 'Glee' Debut

"It did not hurt; it relieved the pain," said the rep. "You've seen her face -- she doesn't have a wrinkle in it so she wouldn't need it for cosmetic purposes."

Video of the segment in question, posted on PerezHilton, shows Charice speaking with a reporter from GMA-7's entertainment show "Chika Minute" while undergoing Botox. Charice's godmother, who is administering the Botox, indicates that she is doing so because Charice likes to chew bubblegum which affects the width of her face. In another snippet from the interview, Charice adds that she wants to "look fresh" because she wants to impress "Glee" fans when she makes her debut on the show.

Countered her rep, "She had her hair colored at the Brad Johns Studio at Elizabeth Arden [in NYC]. That's the only cosmetic thing she's done."
