Meredith Brooks is chronicling the making of her album on her Web site. Starting May 31, visitors to www.meredithbrooks.com will be able to follow the creative process by which the Capitol artist arrives at the finished tracks on "Deconstruction," her set due this fall. The site, which will be updated each Monday, will offer fans their only chance to hear rough demos and certain songs, as all the tunes recorded during the sessions will not make the finished album. One that most certain will, however, is a duet Brooks will record with Queen Latifah called "Lay Down."
Brooks' debut set, "Blurring The Edges," spawned the hit single "Bitch" and earned her two Grammy nominations. The 1997 album peaked at No. 22 on The Billboard 200.
