On March 30, the band will launch a North American tour in Towson, Md., with the Rapture and Starlite Desperation in tow through an April 29 show in San Francisco. As previously reported, BRMC and the Rapture will continue on to play May 1 and May 2, respectively, at California's Coachella Valley Arts & Music Festival.
BRMC will be out in support of its sophomore Virgin album, "Take Them On, On Your Own," which debuted in September at No. 47 on The Billboard 200 and has sold nearly 84,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The Rapture, meanwhile, is on the road behind "Echoes" (Strummer/DFA). The band's debut album bowed at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers Chart in November and has sold 62,000 copies. In early May the band has its own four-date tour of England planned, with dates in Manchester (May 6), Sheffield (May 8), Nottingham (May 9) and London (May 11).
