Bon Jovi, Roger Waters Set For Live Earth India

Bon Jovi, Roger Waters and the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am will join artists such as Anoushka Shankar, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu at Live Earth India, to be held Dec. 7 at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai.

Shiamak Davar, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Hard Kaur, Jalebee Cartel, Vishal and Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam and Shaan are also on the bill for the event, which will be broadcast in Asia and beyond on Star World, Star World and Channel [V].

As with its sister Live Earth events, the show aims to raise awareness of the global environmental crisis and inspire dedication to the cause in India.

Fans around the world can experience Live Earth India via a live Webcast on MSN India.

"Live Earth's mission is to leverage the power of music and entertainment to focus the world's attention on the most pressing environmental issues of our time and then actively effect change," says Live Earth founder Kevin Wall. "The addition of these celebrated and influential artists will increase the force of our event and shine a spotlight on the challenges and opportunities surrounding climate change issues in India."
