Bon Jovi's "Greatest Hits - The Ultimate Collection" (Mercury/Universal) withstands debuts by James Blunt, Susan Boyle and Depeche Mode to retain the leadership of Billboard's European Albums chart. Meanwhile, Rihanna commands a third week atop European Hot 100 Singles with "Only Girl (In The World)" (Def Jam/Universal).

Bon Jovi's second week at No. 1 comes as the compilation achieves that same feat in Portugal and Ireland, and adds a chart-topping debut in Sweden. It's also in at No. 8 in Italy and No. 13 in the Czech Republic, and up 3-2 in Spain and 5-4 in Norway, holding at No. 2 in the United Kingdom (where two-week sales total 146,000).  But it slips 2-4 in Austria, 2-5 in Germany and 3-6 in Switzerland.

Blunt's "Some Kind of Trouble" (Atlantic/Warner Music) arrives at No. 2 overall, with one European No. 1 debut, in Switzerland. There are No. 2 starts in Germany and Holland, and it enters at No. 3 in France and Austria, No. 4 in the United Kingdom (on sales of 40,000), No. 6 in Ireland and No. 10 in Denmark.

Shakira's "Sale El Sol" (Epic) and fellow Sony Music release "Come Around Sundown" by Kings of Leon (Hand Me Down) fall one place each on European Albums, to Nos. 3 and 4. The Shakira album falls 1-2 in France and Italy but holds at No. 2 in Portugal, No. 3 in Poland, No. 5 in Austria and No. 7 in the Czech Republic. It's up 5-4 in Switzerland and 12-9 in Germany. "Sundown" stays at No. 1 in Poland and climbs back 3-2 in Ireland.

Also via Sony Music, Boyle opens at No. 5 Europe-wide with "The Gift" (Syco Music), starting at No. 1 in the United Kingdom with sales of 102,000 (compared with 411,000 out of the box for "I Dreamed A Dream" last November). The new album also opens at No. 1 in Holland, No. 5 in Ireland and climbs 36-3 in the Belgian region of Flanders.

Depeche Mode's CD and DVD package "Tour of the Universe" (Mute/EMI) takes its collective bow at No. 6, after debuting at No. 1 in Germany, No. 4 in Spain and No. 7 in France. But Jamiroquai's "Rock Dust Light Star" (Mercury/Universal) slips 4-7 in its second week on the collective chart, with a No. 3 Italian debut compensating for falls of 1-7 in Holland, 2-6 in France, 2-8 in Switzerland and 7-22 in the United Kingdom.

Three more descending albums complete the pan-European top ten: Robbie Williams' "In and Out of Consciousness - Greatest Hits 1990-2010" (Virgin/EMI), down 5-8; Andrea Berg's "Schwerelos" (Sony Music Entertainment), 6-9; and Cheryl Cole's "Messy Little Raindrops" (Fascination/Polydor/Universal), 7-10. Williams' compilation climbs 10-9 in Hungary, Berg climbs 3-1 in Austria but makes that move in reverse in Germany, and Cole falls 1-3 in the United Kingdom, where second-week sales of 52,000 make a running total to last weekend of 157,000.

Sales highlights for the Rihanna single include climbs of 2-1 in Austria, 4-2 in Spain, 19-3 in Italy and 6-2 in Holland. "Only Girl" stays at No. 1 in the United Kingdom, on 93,000 weekly sales, and Ireland, at No. 2 in Germany, France, Switzerland, Denmark and Flanders, No. 3 in neighboring Wallony, and climbs 4-2 in Spain.
