Hold onto your hats, pop-punk fans, because the long wait for new Blink-182 music is almost over: the group has set the release of a new single for this Friday (July 15).

According to a post on the group's Facebook page, the new track, "Up All Night," will premiere on Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM at 7:30 a.m. PST/10:30 a.m. EST on Friday. The track will also be available on the band's website.

"Up All Night" marks the first new song in eight years from the So-Cal trio, which split up in 2005 before reuniting in 2009. During a conference call last month, the group said that they were trying to deliver their as-yet-untitled, self-produced new album to Geffen Records by the end of July.

"We have these songs that are total throwbacks, exactly what people know blink is," guitarist Mark Hoppus explained. "Then we have songs...that are madly different and experimental, (and) songs that are prog-rock blink music, taking a blink song but (adding) stadium rock qualities to it. I really think we have a tremendous, diverse palette. We will have the album that I think is really modern and relevant to where we are in our career."

Blink-182 will presumably be performing the new single on the Honda Civic Tour with My Chemical Romance, which kicks off Aug. 5 in Holmdel, N.J.
