Despite telling GQ that "Hannah Montana" "destroyed his family," Billy Ray Cyrus is praising the Disney Channel show again -- and calling off his divorce with wife of 17 years, Tish Cyrus.

Cyrus took to TV's "The View" in an episode airing today (Mar. 18) to announce that his relationship with Tish, who is the mother of his five children including Miley Cyrus, is on the mend. Billy Ray used the opportunity to clarify his negative statements toward Disney and the "Hannah Montana" franchise, which appeared in the March 2011 of GQ Magazine. Watch Cyrus' full interview on "The View" below.

"To set the record straight, I love 'Hannah Montana,' I love Disney -- that didn't tear my family apart," Cyrus said. "Now fame -- fame is a different animal."

In regards to his family, Cyrus gushed: "Things are really the best they've ever been. A lot of people think that I am divorced -- I'm not divorced. I dropped the divorce. I wanted to put my family back together."

Cyrus declared his relationship with Miley stronger than ever, after a reported estrangement following her December 2010 salvia bong hit seen around the world. "I feel like we're the daddy and daughter we were before 'Hannah Montana,'" Cyrus said.

He also revealed that his daughter is currently hard at work on a new album -- and that she's been meeting with songwriter/producer Dr. Luke, whom she collaborated with on her biggest hit to date, "Party in the U.S.A."

Despite Miley's progress on the follow-up to 2010's "Can't Be Tamed," the singer-actress may have more singles from the album in store. Poison frontman Bret Michaels recently told E! News that Cyrus' cover of his band's mega-hit "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" will finally see a release later this year.

In his interview, Michaels suggested that the single's release had been delayed by Miley's label following tabloid rumors that he was romantically involved with Tish Cyrus.
