Billy Idol

Billy Idol is recovering from a recent foot operation to repair damage from a 2010 motorcycle accident, according to frequent Twitter updates.

Tweeted the "Rebel Yell" singer early this morning (Nov. 8): "The foots coming along great, just getting thru it if ya know what i mean!"

Idol first explained his condition via Twitter on Nov. 2. While motorcycling roughly a year and a half ago, he  struck a discarded tire, causing a hairline fracture in his foot. The bone began to calcify during the healing process, forcing Idol to go under the knife to repair the damage.

Elaborated Idol in another tweet: "The pain in my foot has now resided so no more pain pills boo hoo but bollocks I've been there & (over) did that!" He also offered a photo of his bandaged foot.

At least he hasn't lost his sense of humor: "Nodded out woke up in a pile of my own vomit! This is like the old days!"

Idol, 55, wrapped up a series of west coast tour dates with an Oct. 21 show at Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, Calif.
