Warped Tour Concertgoer Dies in Kansas 

 

Concertgoer Curtis DeForest, 26, collapsed and died while attending the Vans Warped Tour stop in Bonner Springs, Ka., on Monday. A representative said the tour "would like to offer their thoughts and prayers to the young man's family and friends. Tour organizers are working closely with Capitol Federal Park @ Sandstone staff and local officials to determine the actual facts surrounding this tragic incident and will make further details known as they become available."

 

Randy Jackson Talks 'Idol' Rumors

 

"American Idol" judge Randy Jackson addressed the rumors regarding Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler joining "Idol" yesterday, saying that nothing has been decided yet for season 10. "The only thing I can tell you with absolute certainty right now is that no one has signed a deal yet on either side of the camera to join 'American Idol' next year that wasn't on it last year," Jackson said. While Jackson would not comment on his own future with the show, he confirmed that Ryan Seacrest will definitely return and said that he would be "very happy" if Lopez was added to the judges panel. Eminem 'Creeped Out' By Thoughts of Death

 

In the cover story of VIBE's August/September issue, Eminem discusses his own mortality and how close he came to dying. "It creeps me out because they say that if I got to the hospital two hours later then I would be gone," the rapper says. "I think about that a lot. When I lay in bed at night is when I think about it the most." The issue, which features Em and Dr. Dre on the cover, is due on newsstands Aug. 16. (VIBE)

 

Frank Sinatra's Grandson Attempts Suicide?

 

Frank Sinatra III, the 32-year-old grandson of legendary singer Frank Sinatra, was rushed to a Southern California hospital yesterday (Aug. 2) after what is being described as a suicide attempt. A person close to Sinatra told People, "He's doing okay… He's been having a very tough time. He's doing better now. We think he'll pull through." (People)

 

Katy Perry Strips Down, Googles Herself

 

Katy Perry spots revealing lingerie on the cover of the new Rolling Stone, set to hit newsstands tomorrow (Aug. 4). In the story, the pop star talks about celebrity life and Googling herself. "Any artist who says they don't Google their name is a big fat liar," says the "California Gurl." (Rolling Stone)

 

Gaga, Pharrell Among Vanity Fair's Best Dressed


Pharrell Williams and Lady Gaga have both been named in Vanity Fair's 2010 International Best-Dressed List. Pharrell reveals his favorite shoes to be Christian Loubotin jazz shoes, while Gaga's look is described as "Dada Catholic girl." Also included is singer/songwriter and actress Charlotte Gainsbourg.  (Vanity Fair)

 

DJ Drama Signs with Violator

 

DJ Drama has signed to Violator Management, headed by music mogul Chris Lighty. Others on the Violator roster include 50 Cent, Diddy, Mariah Carey and Soulja Boy. Moving forward, Violator will handle all music, touring and endorsement deals for the music producer and DJ.
