Vanilla Ice Goes DIY

Robert Van Winkle, better known as 90s rapper Vanilla Ice, is set to star in a home improvement TV series on the DIY Network. According to a report featured on PerezHilton.com, "The Vanilla Ice Project" will follow Van Winkle as he "demonstrates his vast knowledge in home renovation" in the makeover series. Britney Spears Album Still Under Wraps

Don't believe everything thing you read about Britney Spears' new album.  The pop star's manager says that contrary to producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins recent claim that Spears fans "are gonna be so happy in a few weeks," there's nothing new to report. "No new music news right now...Wish people wouldn't mislead you guys with BS info," Leber wrote on Twitter, adding, "The guys that ARE working on Brit's next album ARE NOT talking about it." T.I. Hits the Lab with Kanye West

T.I. revealed that he has tapped Kanye West as a producer for new album "King Uncaged," tentatively due in September. The rap star told MTV News last night that he "just left Hawaii with Kanye" and that the pair had worked on six tracks for the disc. T.I. also confirmed that Swizz Beatz and Timbaland had a hand in the follow-up to 2008's chart-topping "Paper Trail." (MTV)

Lady Gaga Inspired to Write by Prop 8 Ruling

The banning of Prop 8 in California on Thursday has apparently prompted Lady Gaga to write new music. Following the official decision to overturn the bill banning gay marriage in California, the singer and vocal supporter of the gay community tweeted, "At the moments notice of PROP 8 DEATH I instantly began to write music." (@ladygaga)

John Legend Breaks His Grammy

John Legend posted a picture online today showing a mangled version of his 2005 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. According to TMZ, the singer's little nephew accidentally snapped the award in half while staying in his apartment. Although Legend still has five pristine Grammy Awards, The Grammys tweeted that they would send him a replacement trophy. (TMZ)

Kiss Preps Mobile Photo App

Kiss is going back on tour, and you know what that means - all sorts of Kiss-licensed stuff. This time around, the Masters of Merch are going digital with Kiss Liveshare, a mobile app that lets fans share photos taken at the show on screen during the show, as well as with friends on Facebook and Twitter. The app was created by Cooliris, in partnership with Kiss and Live Nation Merchandise.
