Susan Boyle will make her first television appearance of 2010 next Tuesday (Jan. 19) when she returns to the Oprah Winfrey Show to perform "Who Was I Born To Be," an original song penned specifically for her debut album. Boyle, who shot to international superstardom almost exactly one year ago with her now famous performance on "Britain's Got Talent." Boyle will also sit with Oprah to talk about her whirlwind year.

Marijuana advocates and rap group Cypress Hill have found a label leader they can do business with: new Priority Records Creative Chairman Snoop Dogg has brought the on for an exclusive deal, his first in his new role. "Rise Up," Cypress Hill's first album of new material in more than five years, features a fiery title track with guest guitarist Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine.

Weezer's Rivers Cuomo was given the doctor's OK to resume touring and the band plans to pick up its aborted tour schedule next week in Florida, according to MTV. Cuomo broke 5 ribs in a December bus crash, and the band subsequently cancelled seven dates of its "Raditude" tour. After the Florida show for T-Mobile contest winners, the band is next scheduled to headline the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey on May 1.

Coldplay are being accused of plagiarism - again - though this time the accuser isn't someone famous like Joe Satriani or Cat Stevens, but instead a "well talented" and "unknown" songwriter named Sammie Lee Smith. According to TMZ, Smith claims to have written several of Coldplay's biggest hits: "Yellow," "Trouble" and "Clocks." Smith is demanding that Coldplay cease and desist from playing "his" songs ever again.

Former No Limit rapper Mystikal was released from prison on Thursday (Jan. 14) after serving six years for a sexual assault charge, according to a CBS News report. Mystikal, whose album "Tarantula" was nominated for the Best Rap Album Grammy in 2003, originally pleaded not guilty to forcing his stylist to perform oral sex in his Baton Rouge apartment with the help of his two bodyguards, but changed his plea after a videotape of the assault surfaced.
