Since Onyx split up, Starr has been pursuing an acting career with a recurring role as love interest Quentin on the UPN series "Moesha," and silver screen appearances in "Light It Up" and "Clockers." The rapper will soon be seen starring opposite Julia Stiles ("10 Things I Hate About You") in "Save The Last Dance," due to open nationally Jan. 12. Starr also contributes the track "True Colors" to the film's Hollywood Records soundtrack.
As previously reported, Starr's former Onyx-mate, Sticky Fingaz, will in February release his debut solo album, "Black Trash: The Autobiography Of Kirk Jones" (Universal). Fingaz also appears on a track on "Firestarr."

Chantal Kreviazuk is keeping rather busy outside of music these days. She recently taped an episode on the Canadian television comedy series "Big Sound," and will appear in the Toronto run of Eve Ensler's Off-Broadway hit "The Vagina Monologues" in December.
"Big Sound," which may make its way onto U.S. television in 2001, is centered around aging music manager Bill Sutton. Kreviazuk plays herself in an episode where a radio shock-jock takes issue with her hard-to-pronounce name, and refuses to play her music.
"The Vagina Monologues" will run Dec. 5-Jan. 7 at the Music Hall in Toronto, with Kreviazuk sharing the stage Dec. 26-31 with Shari Benford and Sherri Parker Lee. For more information, visit the show's official Web site.
Kreviazuk's 1999 Columbia album "Colour Moving and Still" earned her best female artist and best pop/adult album honors at Canada's Juno Awards in March.
