Andrew McMahon is reuniting with his pop-punk band Something Corporate after going on hiatus in 2004. McMahon, who records solo under the name Jack's Mannequin, was forced to put his music career on hold after being diagnosed with leukemia, but is eager to play again with his band mates. "Clearly, my life changed pretty dramatically in the midst of making that first Jack's record and I went a different direction," he tells Spinner. "But it hasn't changed my love for what I created in Something Corporate and what we created together as a band."

Scottish rock band Teenage Fanclub has announced plans to release its first album of new material in five years. According to NME, the band's eighth album, "Shadows," will be released on May 31, and will be preceded by a U.K. tour.

Tyler Perry has recruited an all-star cast for his next film, an adaptation of the 1975 play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf." According to YBF, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington  and Macy Gray will all co-star in the movie.

Punk godfather Iggy Pop has sworn off stage diving after jumping at a recent Carnegie Hall performance and landing flat on his face, according to Jam. "When I landed it hurt and I made a mental note that Carnegie Hall would be a good place for my last stage dive," he said. "The audience were just like, 'What are you doing?'"

Diggy Simmons, the quick-tounged son of Run-DMC's Rev Run, has signed a record deal with Atlantic, Global Grind reports. The 15-year old inked his deal one day after his birthday, and released a new mix tape at the same time.
