With Simon Cowell's wedding to 'Idol' make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy fast approaching, there is much to do in the way of planning. But the Idol judge isn't concerned with napkins, flower arrangements or invitations -- he just wants to find the right singer. According to a Popeater report, Simon's eyes are set on Elton John to usher in Mr. & Mrs. Cowell.

Has White Stripes, Raconteurs and Dead Weather rocker Jack White been dabbling in hip-hop lately? Maybe not just yet, but White told UK GQ Magazine that he and veteran MC Jay-Z recorded a song together. No word yet on how exactly their work will come to fruition, but it's a damn shame the "Grey Album's" already been taken.

The combined efforts of Bjork and French director Michel Gondry have long wowed fans of the quirky Icelandic vocalist and their next dual endeavor sounds promising. At this year's SXSW festival in Austin, TX, Gondy stated that, "We have a very ambitious project, a sort of scientific musical. ... [It's a movie], but maybe more for museums. In a humorous misunderstanding, a 25 year old British man was escorted off a train after staff witnessed him writing the names to songs by the Killers and other bands on a piece of paper and reported "suspicious" activity. Tom Shaw was brainstorming songs to play with his band and had jotted down "All These Things That I've Done" by the Killers and "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand when he was approached by officers and asked to explain his list. We're guessing they weren't indie rock fans.

Last night (March 16), Music Unites held its first "Empowering Women Through Music" initiative with an acoustic performance from R&B singer Melanie Fiona, who also serves as the official ambassador of the program. Billboard.com was in the house to see Fiona sing her tracks "Give It To Me Right," "Teach Him," chart-topper "It Kills Me," and upcoming single, "Ay Yo."
