Sean Kingston Released From Hospital
Sean Kingston has been released from Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami three weeks after being involved in a jet ski accident that left him in critical condition. The pop singer was released on Tuesday (June 21), one day after posting a photo of himself and thanking his fans on Twitter. ( RapRadar)

 

Kreayshawn To Direct Red Hot Chili Peppers Music Video
Kreayshawn, the rising rapper who created the viral smash "Gucci Gucci," will direct the music video for the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie," the first single from the group's forthcoming album "I'm With You." Kreayshawn, who reportedly attended Berkeley film school, recently signed to Columbia Records. ( MTV)

 

Erykah Badu Releasing First Mixtape in July
Declaring she can "melt any DJ's face off in the building," Erykah Badu told a crowd at the LA Film Fest last night (June 22) that she will be releasing her first mixtape next month under the moniker DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown. Badu was on hand at the annual festival to present a screening of the 2009 film "The Invention of Lying" starring Ricky Gervais. Ms. Brown will also be spinning tunes tomorrow (June 24) during the Black Girls Rock and Soul Tour at the Key Club in Hollywood and the next evening at BET's fifth annual PRE dinner in celebration of BET Awards '11. The invitation-only event will be co-hosted by BET Networks chairman/CEO Debra Lee and actor Anthony Anderson. The BET Awards roll out live with host Kevin Hart on June 26 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

 

Fox Announces 'X Factor,' 'Glee' Premiere Dates
Fox revealed its fall rollout for returning shows, with "Glee" returning on Sept. 20 and "The X Factor" premiering one day later. The heavily hyped singing competition will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the fall. ( NY Mag)

 

'Glee' Star Cory Monteith: 'I Burned a Lot of Bridges'
Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson on 'Glee,' revealed in a recent interview that his life is nothing like that of the fictional character he plays: he dropped out of school at 16, and entered rehab at 19. "I'm not Finn Hudson. I burned a lot of bridges, I was out of control," he says. ( Parade, via PopEater)
