Carlos Santana will record a duet with Mexican crooner Christian Castro for a non-album single to be released by BMG U.S. Latin. Santana, who is signed to sister BMG label Arista, will rerecord "Primavera," a track from his album "Supernatural," with Castro, whose next BMG U.S. Latin set is due in January.
The new album will be the follow-up to Castro's 1999 set "Mi Vida Sin Tu Amor," which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Latin Pop chart. An album of remixes hit No. 38 on The Billboard Latin 50 this June, and features the track "Por Amarte Asi," which is No. 3 on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart this week.
