Billboard Bits: Romantics, Ryan Adams, Senses Fail

RomanticsRomantics member Coz Canler is seeking the return of a vintage guitar stolen yesterday (July 20) in West Hollywood, Calif. The 1964 Fender Stratocaster was stolen off the street on Norton Avenue near Crescent Heights and Santa Monica while the musician was loading a car to go to the airport.

The guitar (serial no. L25507), which was in a soft black case, has a worn fiesta-red finish and bears a weathered decal of a '50s pinup girl on the top of its body. A reward is being offered for the return of the guitar, no questions asked. Anyone with information should call 323-620-3767.

The Romantics -- who released their most recent album "61/49" late last year -- are scheduled to appear with the Iggy & the Stooges, the Pretty Things, the Strokes and others at Little Steven's International Underground Garage Festival Aug. 14 at New York's Randall's Island.

RyanAfter leaving the road in January to rehab a wrist injured in a
stage fall, Ryan Adams is prepping for a brief tour to close out the summer. According to Lost Highway Records, his first show will come Sept. 13 in Columbia, Mo.

At deadline just six dates were confirmed for the jaunt, including a Sept. 17 appearance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas.

Last week, Adams and Norah Jones joined Gillian Welch and David Rawlings during a show at New York's Bowery Ballroom. As proof of his recovery, Adams reportedly played guitar and sang on two songs, including a cover of Neil Young's "Helpless."

Here are Adams' tour dates:

Sept. 13: Columbia, Mo. (Blue Note)
Sept. 14: Memphis (New Daisy Theatre)
Sept. 15: Atlanta (Tabernacle)
Sept. 18: Austin, Texas (Austin City Limits)
Sept. 20: Los Angeles (Wiltern Theatre)
Sept. 22: San Francisco (Warfield)
