Rihanna Gets Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds


Rihanna is the latest star to receive a wax replica at Madame Tussauds museum in Washington D.C., according to MTV. The pop singer joins other celebrities like Barack Obama and the Jonas Brothers. (MTV)

 

Green Day Announce Live Album


At a recent show in Denver, Green Day announced that the concert was being recorded for a live album that would follow up last year's "21st Century Breakdown," according to Spinner. The pop-punk trio also unveiled a new track, "Cigarettes and Valentines," which will presumably be included on the forthcoming disc. The still-untitled album will be the band's second live release after 2005's "Bullet in a Bible." (Spinner)



Linkin Park Performing 'Catalyst' at MTV VMAs

Linkin Park has been added to the list of performers at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, set to air live on Sept. 12. The group will perform epic new single "The Catalyst," currently No. 1 on the Rock Songs chart, at the ceremony, two days before fourth album "A Thousand Suns" is released. (MTV)

 

Semi Precious Weapons Ready Headlining Tour


Glam-rock group Semi Precious Weapons have announced a 13-date headlining run that will follow the band's opening stint on Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour. The your will kick off Sept. 20 in Atlanta and conclude Oct. 9 in Boston before the band heads overseas for the European leg of Gaga's tour.

 

Dirty Projectors Rolling Out 'Orca' Reissue


Indie rockers Dirty Projectors will release a double-disc reissue of 2009 album "Bitte Orca" on Sept. 28 via Domino, Pitchfork reports. The deluxe edition will feature the original album and a collection of live performances and B-sides. Dirty Projectors are set to tour with Owen Pallett beginning Sept. 7, as well as support Phoenix at their New York show on Oct. 20. (Pitchfork)
