Billboard Bits: Plies, Kraftwerk, B.G.

Ft. Myers, Florida MC Plies is prepping his sophomore album, "Definition of Real," for a June 24th release via Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic Records. The set arrives less than a year after his debut, "The Real Testament," which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The album's first official single, "Bust It Baby, Pt. 2," featuring Ne-Yo, is currently No. 96 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, while the promotional track, "Bust It Baby, Pt. 1," sits at No. 69 on the same tally.

In support of the set, Plies will embark on a "Plies/Don Diva Prison" tour in coming months. Details and tour dates have yet to be announced.

The Coachella music festival won't be the only 2008 stop in the U.S. for Kraftwerk. The electronic music trailblazers have scheduled three shows in the Midwest to precede the April 25-27 festival.

The quartet will appear at Myth in Minneapolis on April 19, the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, Wis., on April 20 and at the Fillmore in Denver on April 23.

The short stint comes three years after the group released the double-disc live CD/DVD set "Minimum-Maximum," recorded at Coachella in 2004.

Rapper B.G. has now finished his upcoming album and first Atlantic Records release, "Too Hood 2 B Hollywood." The first single will be "Ya Heard Me." Produced by Cool & Dre (whose credits include work with Chingy, Yung Joc, the Game and others), "Ya Heard Me" features Juvenile, Lil' Wayne and Trey Songz. With the single set to be released this spring, "Too Hood 2 B Hollywood" is slated for July.
