Pink Reveals Top Choice for Baby Name

When Pink announced on "Ellen" Nov. 17 that she was expecting a child, it didn't take long for the name game to begin. Although Pink told Ellen that her doctor believes she'll be having a girl, she and husband Carey Hart have secured a boy name that will make the Irish proud. The couple has chosen the name Jameson, and claim that their inspiration derives from a blend of family names (Pink's father is James, her brother is Jason, and Carey's middle name is Jason), as well as, of course, a love for the Irish whiskey. Cheers! (L.A. Times)

Bon Jovi to Take Hiatus After Summer World Tour

Jon Bon Jovi recently announced that he and his band Bon Jovi will be going on hiatus after their world tour in support of "The Circle" comes to a close this summer. "When you're going places where they don't have their own electricity, and you say, 'Don't worry, we'll bring our own,' it's time to take a break," the frontman recently said, adding that the band "has to go to bed." Mary J. Blige To Hit Broadway?

Rumors are afloat that Mary J. Blige may be the next musician, after Twisted Sister rocker Dee Snider, to hit the Broadway stage for "Rock of Ages." Reportedly, Blige has said she's "all in" to join the "Rock" cast as Justice Charlier, owner of Sunset Strip exotic night spot, "Venus Club." While a deal hasn't been officially signed, there is already excitement of Blige putting a soulful R&B staple in Justice's rendition of Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." Actor Tom Cruise is also said to be in talks to join the Broadway cast, possibly as the villainous Stacee Jaxx. ( New York Magazine)

Book on Tupac's Life in the Works

Vibe Magazine's Kevin Powell will turn rapper Tupac Shakur's life into a biography chronicling the rapper's past. "He remains, all these years later, one of the most dynamic and complicated humans I've ever encountered. I will present Tupac as the very whole and multi-layered being he was, as I remember well his asking me, quite prophetically, to be Alex Haley to his Malcolm X," Powell said. ( Hip-Hop Wired)

Elton John Disses Oasis

Oasis frontmen Noel and Liam Gallagher were the subject of Sir Elton John's latest rant. The singer called the brothers "stupid sods" for not being able to "break America." While Oasis has had some success in America with hits like "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova," they've never reached the same height of fame in the U.S. as they have in the U.K. (NME)

John Mayer Pursues Eva Longoria

The ink isn't even dry on Eva Longoria's divorce papers, but John Mayer is already in hot pursuit. Rumors are circulating that the "Your Body is a Wonderland" crooner has a thing for recently divorced women (Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Anniston) and the newly single "Desperate Housewife" is at the top of his list. However, a friend of Longoria says that she's not interested in finding a new hubby just yet: "Mayer can send all the flowers in the world and even show up under her window with his guitar and it would make no difference." Better luck next time, John. ( Popeater)

Bright Eyes Announces New Album

Conor Oberst's folk-rock outfit Bright Eyes has been on a hiatus since 2007's "Cassadaga," but the group announced today that it will release a new album on Feb. 15. The album, titled "The People's Key," was recorded by member Mike Mogis at his Omaha studio with the help from labelmates Cursive, the Faint and Autolux. ( Pitchfork)
