Pia Toscano Working on 'Diva' Album
With season 10 coming to a close last night, word is out that Pia Toscano is already hard at work on her debut album and it promises to be diva-sized, according to producer Rodney Jerkins. Jerkins says he was in the studio with Toscano as recently as Saturday and that she's already recorded "a few songs." The sound? "It's a big, diva-sounding record," he describes. "It's what I think I do best - that big Whitney, Mariah, Celine vibe. We've having fun with that." ( The Hollywood Reporter)

 

DMX Prison Release Expected For July
Troubled rapper DMX is set to be released from prison on July 1, according to the AZ Corrections website. The hip-hop star (real name: Earl Simmons) was sent to prison in December for violating his probation. ( RapRadar)

 

Courtney Love 'Worried' About Lady Gaga Turning into 'A Lonely Drag Queen'
In a new interview, Courtney Love says that she admires Lady Gaga but is 'worried' about the pop star's future. "She's very young, and she's very talented, but she doesn't seem to have any female friends," says the rock veteran. "Or any straight guy friends for that matter. Instead, she surrounds herself with this coterie of gay stylists and advisors who've turned her into this weird, sexless Barbie doll... If she doesn't watch out she'll turn into a lonely drag queen." 'Spider-Man' Broadway Soundtrack Out June 14
Despite an unharmonious start that turned the "Spider-Man" musical on Broadway into a late-night talk show joke, a cast album will go on sale June 14. The 14-song album "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" written by U2's Bono and The Edge will be produced by Steve Lillywhite and will be released by Interscope Records. ( The Associated Press)

 

Lee DeWyze Not Invited to Perform on 'Idol' Finale
Among the star-studded performances during the "American Idol" finale last night, one face was noticeably missing -- season 9 champ Lee DeWyze. The singer revealed on Twitter that he was not invited to perform at the ceremony: "Hey guys, no I'm not performing at the Finale. I wasn't asked to . A lot of questions so I thought I'd fill you in. Talk to you soon :)," he wrote. (@LeeDeWyze)

 

Against Me! Auctioning Off Signed Guitar for Tornado Victims
To aid the victims of the recent tornadoes in the Southern United States, rock veterans Against Me! will auction off a new Roger Waters signature Fender Precision bass guitar signed by all members of the band. All proceeds from the auction, hosted on the band's official website, will go to the Alabama Red Cross.
