Comments

Shakira and OK Go have joined the performance lineup for the MTV Video Music Awards, to be held Aug. 31 at New York's Radio City Music Hall. OK Go will perform its song "Here It Goes Again" on treadmills, in a nod to a video for the track that has become an Internet sensation as of late.

Among the newly added presenters are Axl Rose, Kanye West, Diddy, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. Appearances are also on tap from Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Lil Jon, Missy Elliott and Evanescence's Amy Lee.

Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, Trey Anastasio & Phil Lesh and Widespread Panic are among the artists willing to stay up extra late in Las Vegas during this year's Vegoose music fest as part of the Vegoose At Night series. These shows will be held at various Sin City venues independent of the festival lineup.

Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Maceo Parker, Keller Williams, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, the String Cheese Incident and STS9 are also confirmed for the nighttime shows, which begin after the main Vegoose events from Oct. 27-30. The full schedule is posted on the Vegoose
Web site. Tickets will be made available to Vegoose attendees at a reduced rate beginning Sept. 6, while general admission tickets go on sale Sept. 9.

As previously reported, Vegoose will be held Oct. 28-29 at Sam Boyd Stadium, featuring Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Fiona Apple, the Black Crowes, the Killers, the Raconteurs, the Mars Volta, the Roots and Marley.

UltraNewYork.com.

Ultra.NY kicked off last year with performances by the Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Tengalia, Erick Morillo and Timo Maas.
