Marcus Mumford, lead singer of Mumford and Sons, is engaged to actress to Carey Mulligan after dating for five months. The pair were childhood pen pals who lost touch and reconnected after the Mumfords' debut disc, "Sigh No More," had gained international acclaim. ( Us)

 

Christina Aguilera, Eminem Pairing for Duet?

After Eminem scored a massive hit with Rihanna last summer, Christina Aguilera is rumored to be tapping the rapper for a duet that would appear on her fifth studio album. The full-length, which follows last year's "Bionic," is expected to be released next year. ( M Is For Music)

 

Lost Daft Punk Track, 'Drive,' Resurfaces
An unreleased Daft Punk track from 1994, "Drive," has been found as a demo at Soma Records, and the label plans to release the song as part of the 20th anniversary retrospective "Soma Records: 20 Years." "The tape had originally been sent with 'Rollin' and Scratchin'' to be released as Soma25. But Soma asked these two bright-eyed and Techno-bound Frenchman, to finish and send 'Da Funk' to accompany 'Rollin' and Scratchin' and DRIVE was shelved for a later date..." explains the label, which will release the three-CD box set on Sept. 19, in a statement. A rep for Daft Punk has confirmed that the unreleased track is indeed from the French electronic duo. (Soma Records)

 

Band of Horses Schedules New Tour after Kings of Leon Cancellation
After Kings of Leon announced that their U.S. tour will be cancelled earlier this week, the band scheduled to open for them, indie-rock stalwarts Band of Horses, has mapped four last-minute tour dates to satisfy fans. The group will visit Ft. Lauderdale, Charlotte, Philadelphia and New York beginning Aug. 3.

 

Ne-Yo Teams with Indie Outfit jj for Adult Swim
R&B Star Ne-Yo has collaborated with mysterious Swedish indie duo jj for a free mp3 series organized by Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block of programming. Ne-Yo reportedly submitted the original track, titled "We Can't Stop," before jj warped and remixed it. ( Pitchfork)
