Comments

MouseModest Mouse, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, the Killers, Muse and Taking Back Sunday will perform at San Francisco radio station KITS-FM (Live 105)'s Not So Silent Night concert, to be held Dec. 10 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The event will be hosted by producer Dan "The Automator" Nakamura (Handsome Boy Modeling School), who will also DJ.

Live 105 is one of the first modern rock stations to jump on "The World's Gone Mad," the first single from Handsome Boy's upcoming Atlantic album, "White People." The track features Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos, Del the Funky Homosapien and Barrington Levy.

OnealCountry artist Jamie O'Neal will on Feb. 15 release her Capitol debut, "Brave." The artist's lone Mercury set, "Shiver," included two No. 1 hits on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart: the title track and "There Is No Arizona." New single "Trying To Find Atlantis" is No. 32 on that survey this week.

O'Neal will be seen Nov. 9 as a presenter on the 38th annual Country Music Awards. She will also appear tomorrow (Nov. 4) on the Christian Country Music Awards, where she will sing "I Need Thee Every Hour," included on EMI's recent compilation "Amazing Grace 3."

VidaPhish keyboardist Page McConnell's band Vida Blue will be the subject of the DVD "Vida Blue and the Spam Allstars -- Live at the Fillmore." Due Nov. 30, the release chronicles a recent show at the San Francisco venue featuring Vida Blue in tandem with the Miami-based six-piece Spam Allstars. The set list includes a cover of Phish's "Cars Trucks Buses."

Bonus features include the band's first meeting with the real Vida Blue, a star pitcher for the Oakland Athletics in the 1970s, as well as footage of McConnell racing stock cars and participating in a demolition derby. Fans who pre-order the DVD through Phish's
official Web site will receive a bonus DVD with additional footage of McConnell behind the wheel at Vermont's Champlain Valley Fair.
