Linkin Park and Jay-Z will perform together Wednesday (Feb. 8) at the Grammy Awards, joining a performance lineup that will also features pairings between Madonna and Gorillaz, U2 and Mary J. Blige, Faith Hill and Keith Urban, Christina Aguilera and Herbie Hancock and Jamie Foxx with Kanye West. Newly confirmed presenters include Alicia Keys and comedian Dave Chappelle.

Rob Thomas has confirmed a second leg of North American solo tour in support of his Atlantic album "...Something To Be." Opening March 7 in Burlington, Vt., the tour will wind across the continent to close April 4 in Calgary. Full dates can be found on Thomas' official Web site.
A performance of the album's "Ever the Same" is set for Thursday (Feb. 9) on NBC's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," after which Thomas will head to Australia for a string of nine arena shows.
Released in April 2005, "...Something To Be" bowed at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The disc features "Lonely No More," which reigned for 17 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary airplay chart. The track also reached No. 6 on the Hot 100.
At the end of 2005, Thomas reunited with matchbox twenty for a brief run of shows in Las Vegas. Upcoming recording or touring plans are unknown.
Canadian act the Sadies recorded two concerts this past weekend at Lee's Palace in Toronto for a live album to be released later this year via Yep Roc. In addition to performing their own material, the Sadies were joined by a host of high-profile guests. Neko Case and the Band's Garth Hudson lent a hand on "Evangeline," while the Jayhawks' Gary Louris was featured on "Tailspin."
Other contributors throughout the weekend included rock act Heavy Trash, Blue Rodeo, the Deadly Snakes, Jonh Langford and Kelly Hogan. The Sadies previously served as Case's backing band on her 2004 live album, "The Tigers Have Spoken."
